Hello Kitty Invitations

My daughters birthday invitations 2012
Front of invitation
All parts will be cut out @ 4"
My daughters 12th birthday is coming up and I wanted to make her some invitation so here we go. I started with the Hello Kitty Greetings Cartridge. On page 29, using the card feature I got 2 cards using the fit to page on a 8 1/2 x 11" black cardstock.

Invitation folded up

Same page on 29 using white cardstock I cut out Blackout feature @ 4"
Next to be able to add this in the inside of the card I cut off the whiskers

I used Microsoft word to create the inside of the invitation

                                                                    printed it out twice

taken the cut of the image I trace it then cut it out

Finally I layered the image and the documented image and inked the edges
and glue to the inside of the invitation

I hope you have enjoyed your stay, come back by soon for more projects related to her birthday!!!
Thanks have a great day!!! =)

My Life Group Class

I  host a Life Group from my church in my home "Create With Paper"
With this Class it is a craft class introducing card making, scrapbooking, all other kinds of crafts to ladies that just can't find the time with their busy schedules. So this past Saturday, I had my friend Tiffany to come. We had fun, the project for that day was Vinyl on tile, she did an excellent job she added a flower, and my first time to layer vinyl :)

We had extra time so she did a Mother's Day card, I love Tiffany's style
She picked a styled card that I made and picked her colors
It turned out beautiful can't wait to do one

I'm enjoying hosting the class because I am able to step out of the box to do and show others what I love to do and that's being creative!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!! =)

Easter Cards

It's that time of year, and every year I say I'm gonna do some Easter cards and before you know it has came and gone before I could sit down to make them. So excited that I was able to get in my craftroom and do these cards. I didn't use my cricut at all so anyone can do these.
I started out with an 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" already made card base
my lime green layer is 4 x 5 1/4"
white layer is 3 3/4 x 5"

I inked all my edges with purple ink
this is the $.20 Studio G ink from Walmart that I got

front of card I used Studio G stamp set
the ribbon is Studio G $.20 from Walmart

I glad how they turned I will be giving them to my friends...
don't you just love to put a smile on someone's face

Two projects using cricut vinyl

I created two cricut projects using the vinyl, I was able to use vinyl on a tin pail and take the stencil of same cut out and etch the saying on a glass container. As you know that vinyl is not cheap so think before you toss your stencil from your vinyl cut out you can use it to etch on any glassware you have on hand.

Here you see what I actually cut out, this would be the stencil left over after you add the vinyl cut out of the saying on your project.

Here's the finish product of the pail
Now we use Armour Etch to begin our etching

I had a great time doing this project, looking forward to doing more vinyling and etching.

Tri-Shutter Fold Card with front base

This is another tri-fold shutter card with a front base that I like so I decided to give it a try thanks to Dawn5377 on Youtube channel for such great instructions.

To start to make this project you will need 5 1/2 x 12" paper
Score @ 2",4",6",8",10"

Take your paper turn long ways put paper in trimmer @ 1 1/2" cut from 2" down to 10" take paper out turn repeat the cutting and it should look like this

top view

This is card base once you add all pieces to it which are:
front base of card is 4" x 5 1/2" you adhere to the left panel, only adding glue to the left half of paper
top & bottom pieces you will need 6 cut @ 1 1/4" x 1 3/4"
middle panels you will need 3 cut @ 1 3/4" x 2 1/4" here I opted to add mine own creation which I used a 2" x 2" paper round the edges added my sentiment
right panel 1 3/4" x 5 1/4"

Front view of card folded up

Sentiment up close
***which I stated wrong in video it measures green 2 1/4" x  3" white 2" x 2  3/4"***
